An Irish sail boat of the coast of Ireland’s Eye

From the summit on Ireland’s Eye the Martello Tower on the island looks even more impressive. It almost looks as though it could fall into the Irish Sea and any moment. Thanks to Peter Donegan for a great day trip!

A Great Black Backed Gull flew above mine and @McAWilliams head on Ireland’s Eye last weekend and I managed to capture his wingspan as he passed overhead. These guys are huge!

What an unusual place to find something that resembles a power button. This picture was taken of the monastic ruins located on Ireland’s Eye. It is worth pointing out that there is no electricity what so ever on the island. Ironic!.

Ireland’s Eye is packed full of life – wild life and plant life. For another spot of bird life we have this stunning cormorant chilling out on the cliffs edge. Who knew birds like this existed in Ireland.

A pair of puffins, one of 6 breeding pairs in fact that can be found on Ireland’s Eye. This pair were spotted on a day trip to the island with Peter Donegan’s Garden Group.
