High Contrast floral imagery in the National Botanic Gardens. I love these flowers. They are so elegant, and the colours are so vibrant at this time of year.

I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago while camping in Silver Strand. I didn’t have my camera with me so took this picture on my iPhone. It was taken at approximately 5am in the morning when the sun was just showing its head.

A rockery cactus had just been watered and whilst its inner circles had filled with water, tiny beads of water could still be seen lodging to its pastel spines.

A single white flower (rose/carnation?) sitting among a dusting of violet blooms at this years Bloom in the Park. How lonely it stands, yet so proud against the muted background.

This picture was taken in the Woodies exhibition in which they created a garden from products available in Woodies stores. This particular flower was part of a hanging basket which had just been watered in preperation for the hot day that was to come. And hot it was. I’m sure after a few hours of taking this picture the flower in question was thankful it harbored so many little water droplets in its petals.
